Welcome to My Story. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, products and services. By using the site or placing an order you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using any part of the My Story website or placing an order with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms you must not use the service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, customers and other users of the service. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you are using the service on behalf of a minor or dependant, you represent that you are legally authorised to act as their parent or legal guardian and to accept these Terms on their behalf.
2. User Accounts
You may browse My Story without registering, but certain features — including saving wishlists, tracking orders and accessing previous personalisations — require you to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during registration and to keep that information up to date.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access or suspected security breach. We cannot be held liable for losses resulting from your failure to protect your login details.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse our service.
3. Orders & Payments
All orders placed through the website are offers to purchase, which we may accept or decline at our discretion. An order confirmation email does not constitute acceptance — the contract is formed when your order is dispatched. Prices and availability are subject to change without notice.
Payment is processed at the time of order through a secure, PCI-compliant payment gateway. We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. All prices are listed in the currency selected at checkout and include applicable taxes where required by law.
In the rare event of a pricing error or stock shortage we will contact you promptly to arrange an alternative or a full refund.
4. Personalisation Content
When you upload photos, names, dedications or any other content to personalise a product, you grant My Story a limited, non-exclusive licence to use that content solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order. We will never use your personalisation content for marketing, training or any other purpose without your explicit consent.
You represent and warrant that you own or have permission to use any content you upload, and that the content does not infringe the rights of any third party. You must not upload content that is unlawful, offensive, defamatory, or depicts minors in inappropriate ways.
We reserve the right to refuse any order whose personalisation content violates these Terms, and will issue a full refund in such cases.
5. Returns & Refunds
Because our products are made to order, personalised items cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged, defective, or contain a printing error caused by us. In those cases please contact our support team within 14 days of delivery with photographic evidence and your order number.
Non-personalised items (such as stock t-shirts or gift cards) may be returned within 30 days of delivery in their original condition for a full refund. Shipping costs are non-refundable except where the return is due to our error.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 3–5 business days of approval. Please allow additional time for the funds to appear on your statement depending on your bank.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the My Story website — including illustrations, story text, logos, trademarks, photographs and software — is the property of My Story or its licensors and is protected by international copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify or distribute any part of the site without our prior written consent.
The personalisation content you upload remains your property. By purchasing a personalised product you obtain a personal, non-transferable licence to use the finished product for private, non-commercial purposes.
Any unauthorised use of our intellectual property may result in legal action and the termination of your account.
7. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the steps we take to keep it secure. By using the site you consent to the collection and processing of your data as described in that policy.
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared only with trusted service providers (payment processors, shipping partners, email services) strictly for the purpose of delivering your order.
You have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time by contacting our support team.
8. Cookie Policy

Our total liability in connection with any product or service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations may not apply in full to you.
